After a somewhat slow start, Délicieux: Paris is taking Paris by storm – if slowly. Blending food, music and dancing in typical amore eroma fashion, Parisians didn’t know what to think at first. Frederique R. had this to say: “I remember it opening in 2006 or 2005 and thinking shit, this is the last thing we need here is another club, you know? How long can this last here? But, you know it’s not just a club. It’s…what what… à couper le soufflé. Uh…beautiful?”

Fine food and cool music dominate the upper floors and ambient touches from lighting to waterfalls make dining a calm and delightful experience. But, depending on the night, vigorous activities that are anything but calming are happening below, deep in the foundation of the circa 1956 building. “We had a time making sure the sound from below didn’t travel up. And Jacqueline (Tourat) wanted the waterfall to end up down there. So, many of these things needed to be thought through. Very loud, but…you don’t hear anything here in the dining area.”
Separate entrances for Délicieux make it easy to dine or dance. Can’t choose? Do both!
