I’m not sure what to say here. I’ve looked on the internet and see that this UBER HIP DJ is known in both the electronic and hip hop worlds. I see that he’s a one man show that had strong hip hop roots, but who is now known primarily in the electronica realm. And, I know I just love his work! But, what to say and how to classify? What box to drop him into eludes me, so I guess I won’t try.

The music speaks for itself. It’s deep and rich with a fun punch and playfulness that I really enjoy. RJD2 mixes styles and timing to create aural landscapes that make you want to get up and dance at times and stare out the window contemplating life at others. It has a highly cinematic feel that I’m always a sucker for, as well. If the world shifts tomorrow and I need to find someone to score my action, horror, romance movie, I’ll have my people call RJD2’s people and arrange something.
